You may read, quote, cite, print and share this site freely. You may not:

• use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in any way that could damage or impair it;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its hosting or any connected system;
• place excessive automated load on the site beyond ordinary crawling and archiving;
• reproduce content in a way that misrepresents what it says — in particular by quoting a data figure, a platform grade or a Visibility Score without the date on which it was observed.

Well-behaved crawlers and AI agents are explicitly welcome. See robots.txt and llms.txt.

The text, design, code, structure and original research on this site are the property of the King of AEO project unless otherwise stated. The observation dataset and its schema are published separately under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0, as set out on the dataset page.

Quotation for research, commentary, journalism, teaching or citation is welcome with attribution to KingOfAEO.net. Names of third-party platforms are the property of their respective owners and are used descriptively, to identify systems under observation. No affiliation or endorsement is implied in either direction.

This site is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of accuracy, completeness, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

The observatory publishes research observations about systems that change without notice. An observation is a record of what was seen on a given date under stated conditions; it is not a guarantee that the same query will produce the same result at any other time. Answer engines are non-deterministic and personalised, and results will differ between users, sessions, locales and devices.

Where a page states that no observation has been recorded, that statement is accurate: it means the test has not been run, and nothing should be inferred from it in either direction.

This site links to external domains, including the other domains operated by the King of AEO project. Links to any site outside kingofaeo.net are provided for reference only: this project does not control those sites, does not endorse their content, and accepts no responsibility for it.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the King of AEO project accepts no liability for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or otherwise — arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or anything published on it. This includes any decision taken on the basis of a research observation, a Visibility Score, or the absence of either.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

In the aeo observatory treatment of “Terms of Use”, the following principle applies: These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales , and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. The point is interpreted specifically through measurement, controlled tests and citation behaviour on kingofaeo.net.

These terms may be updated from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page records the current version, and continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
